Unfinished Notebook Art
[Inside Cover]

2013-01-06_11-50-07_921While going through some of my old files and papers trying to sort everything out, I came across my high school notebooks that I kept so I can do exactly what I’m doing right now. I was reminiscing my old notes and drawings as I thought about my high school days and how much I miss them. And to think it was only two years ago; seems like it’s been 5 years. Time really does fly by when you’re having fun. I really enjoyed those careless days when the only real out-of-home responsibilities I had were easy things like turning in my homework on time and remembering my lunch money.

This project is ironic – Looks like I was
planning for a baby a long time ago, lol! (;

2013-01-06_11-47-39_494I found an old economics project that I made in less than two hours and turned it in early for extra credit. I got full credit + extra credit for it (A++). The teacher was one of those guys that don’t show emotion of any kind, but through that, I could tell that he really liked my project a lot. I always got compliments from my teachers on how neat and organized my classwork was. My friends also that I was “weirdly” well-organized when it came to my school stuff. My entire school life I have always loved decorating notes to my friends, my assignments, homework, and I always tried to make the best projects; the ones that guaranteed a good grade. I took some pictures of a few of my “doodling’s” to give you guys an example of how I utilized half my class time:2013-01-06_11-49-40_5142013-01-06_11-51-34_129

The Little Artist – Signs of Early Talent

I was finally able to get my scanner fixed, which means I can upload all my old drawings I found that my mom had collected during me and my sister’s entire growing up. I was quite the little artist at such an early age! And my little sister always wanted to be like me while we were growing up, so she  tried to be the little artist too. (: There are so many drawings that we have both drawn for both our parents, everything from mother’s and father’s day cards, to random drawings about nonsense. Of course, I’m only going to put up the ones worth bragging about. Here’s a little taste of my past imaginations:

I'm not too sure if I drew this or if Karen (my sister) did, but I thought it was so cute for such a young drawing - 2000?

Old Art

My whole life growing up I have always been into drawing and writing. It just came natural to me, and I’m somehow “naturally” good at it. I have slacked over the past year and a half when it comes to self expression through my drawings. However, now that I will have much more free time on my hands, I am determined to refresh my skills. I’m only waiting on the perfect inspiration to start me off. I have ideas of things I want to draw, but I have no idea where to start. I’m considering making my first “refresher” drawing something festive for the holidays, like a Christmas sign to hang up on the wall. I’m also thinking of making a collage with pictures from the many baby magazines I’ve accumulated since becoming pregnant. Here are just a few photos of some of the art I used to draw. These pictures range anywhere from 2006-2010. I used to have a thing for graffiti art (and still kind of do) although my taste for art has definitely matured since then. You could definitely call me an amateur artist since I have never had any “proper” training, I just sort of grabbed a pencil and started drawing. I plan to sharpen my drawing skills and learn how to create graphic art in the computer, because that is what I have decided to be: a Graphic Artist.
